On January 14th, 2011, a capacity audience of more than 2,200 enjoyed a splendid performance of Chinese folk arts at Texas A&M University. The performance was co-hosted by Consulate General for the People’s Republic of China in Houston and the Confucius Institute at Texas A&M University, in order to celebrate the friendship between China and the U.S and ring in the new year of the rabbit.

Texas A&M Administrators Make Presentations at the 5th Annual Confucius Institute Conference

BEIJING – On December 10-12, representatives from Texas A&M University participated in 5th annual Confucius Institute Conference convened by the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban). Held at the National Convention Center in Beijing, China, the two-day conference was themed “Sustainable Development of the Confucius Institute” and drew 1,400 university presidents and Confucius Institute representatives from 96 countries and regions.
