Alan R. (Randy) Kluver is Executive Director for Global Partnerships & Projects and Associate Professor in the Department of Communication. Within the office of Global Program Support, Dr. Kluver supports the development of strategic student exchange and international education programs for academic colleges and departments, and developing external funding for international programs. To date, Dr. Kluver has generated grants and contracts of well over one million dollars to support the internationalization activities of the university, such as the development of the Confucius Institute at Texas A&M University.
Dr. Kluver is the Principal Investigator for the Corps of Cadets/ROTC Language and Culture Program at Texas A&M University, a project that has provided over half a million dollars in scholarships for critical language study and study abroad programs.
He is co-PI (with Stephen Balfour) of the Broadcast Monitoring System, a real time international broadcast transcription and translation system, and is actively engaged with university faculty to develop research protocols and educational applications for this pioneering technology.
