College Station, Texas, April 30, 2009 – Will Chambers wins first place in the Lower Level at the Texas College Students Chinese Speaking Competition in Houston, Texas on March 27, 2009. The Consulate General of PRC in Houston awarded him a certificate and a beautiful tie. He owes his win to the help and support of Professor Wang Ying and Chen Wenjuan of the Confucius Institute at Texas A&M University. Will has been studying Chinese at A&M since 2007 and spent last summer studying at Ocean University in Qingdao. Mr. Chambers is now scheduled to compete the 8th Chinese Bridge Speech Contest scheduled in Beijing this July and August.

 

 

2009年4月30日-------塔木学生汉语演讲比赛赢得桂冠

得克萨斯州大学城2009年4月30日讯-A&M大学学生Will Chamber在于休斯顿上月27日举行的得克萨斯州大学生汉语初级水平演讲比赛中荣获以第一名的成绩载誉而归。他被中华人民共和国休斯顿总领事馆授予荣誉证书和绶带。对于他的成功，一直支持帮助他学习的A&M孔子学院王英教授和陈文娟功不可没。Will自2007年起开始汉语学习并于去年夏天赴青岛海洋大学交流学习。Chambers先生将再接再厉，计划在北京7月到8月间举行的第八届汉语桥演讲比赛中一绝高低。
