Enrollment Begins for 2010 Fall Community Chinese Class
Enrollment has started for the Fall Community Mandarin Chinese Class offered by the Confucius Institute at Texas A&M University. The Mandarin class is a noncredit bearing class designed to provide a basic introduction to the Mandarin language. The class is open to all members of the Bryan and College Station community and friends of Texas A&M University and it is set to begin on Tuesday, September 14.
This semester’s class will be led by Professor Han Mei, an experienced Chinese teacher and visiting scholar from Ocean University of China in Qingdao. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:45 pm at the University Apartments Community Center. Class size this fall is limited to twenty-five students to ensure an ideal environment for language learning and interested individuals are encouraged to register early.
Registration fees for the class will be $45 which will cover textbook and classroom materials for the duration of the class. Deadline for registration for the class is at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 8.
